Supercomputer Says Limerick Lace Will Win The 2024 Grand National

Our supercomputer has predicted Limerick Lace to win the 2024 Grand National at Aintree this Saturday.
The GrandNational.org.uk supercomputer has analysed the characteristics of all 175 winning horses and their key personnel since the first race in 1839, finding the perfect runner is a nine-year-old with a handicap of 10st 7lbs.
The machine – which most recently correctly predicted the 2024 winner of Dancing On Ice – also considered the impact of jockey, trainer and owner names. But none of this year’s competitors match the ideal jockey name of John or Tommy (although there is a Tom riding Run Wild Fred), or the trainer’s top moniker of Tom either.
However, John is also the best name for an owner of a Grand National winning horse, which is another plus for Limerick Lace, owned by John Patrick (JP) McManus.
At 14/1, Limerick Lace represents good value for punters, compared to the bookies’ favourites including Corach Rambler (5/1) and I Am Maximus (7/1) – both dismissed by the Supercomputer.
At seven years old, Limerick Lace is a couple of years younger than the ideal age, but punters will only need to go back to Noble Yeats in 2022 to find the last seven-year-old Aintree champ.
Fans of Rachael Blackmore shouldn’t get their hopes up for this year’s race as her horse, Minella Indo, and his trainer and owner do not tick a single ideal characteristic identified by the prediction machine.

A spokesperson for GrandNational.org.uk said: “Our Supercomputer is on great form, after first correctly predicting the winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2022 and then picking the champ for this year’s series of Dancing On Ice. So, if the Supercomputer says Limerick Lace will win the Grand National this year, it’s certainly worth a punt – and at 14/1, the horse represents decent value to punters.
“With many Grand National fans opting for funny horse names or particular coloured jockey silks as factors when picking a winner, there are worse factors to consider than who a clever machine thinks will win.”
